circa 1960
A writing desk featuring a base composed of two thick sheets of glass forming the leg support which is held by a back bronze u-shaped stretcher which runs through the glass and reconnects to itself. The glass and bronze base support a wooden body with two drawers, each with a bronze drawer pull and a elongated front kneehole central area and a thick top all done in the original two tone deep blood-red lacquer. The back of the desk is very clean and simple, made to be floated in a room and seen from behind. By Raphael, France circa 1960.
